On the occasion of the opening of the exhibition Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Nokia has officially announced the release of a new high-end smartphone which is bring all the technologies currently available in a single terminal!
This smartphone on behalf of Nokia N96 "Quad" is GSM, GPRS, EDGE, UMTS and HSDPA. Compact (103 x 55 x 18 mm with a volume of 92cc) and lightweight (125 grams), the smartphone will place more in the category of "musicphones" with no less than 16 GB of internal memory plus a location for Micro SD memory card, thus enabling it to have a total of 24 potentially GB memory!
For the rest, the N96 also features a QVGA screen of 2.8 inches, WiFi 802.11b / g, a battery with a capacity of 950 mAh, and a 3.5 mm audio Jack, 'a Micro USB receiver and an A-GPS. And it is still not enough. The N96 also features a chip DVB-H making it compatible with the forthcoming mobile TV offerings. With its internal memory, it can store more TV programs in real time.
Similarly, in addition to its S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 2 (compatibility with Flash Lite 3 native), this smartphone has finally a digital camera with 5 megapixels Carl Zeiss optics, dual LED Flash and possible registration of videos VGA quality at 30 frames per second. The Nokia N96 will be sold in the third quarter 2008 for a price of appox. Rs. 44500 TTC.
