Hi, for your information laptops are not meant for such high end gaming.you will need a desktop to play that. at least core 2 duo 3.0 ghz. and 512mb ddr3 graphics card.

As far as upgrading is concerned it's limited in case of laptops ,and if you can then it would only be the RAM modules.you will need a new computer. The machine you have is limited to the slow processor that is in it.

I also suggest going with an AMD its known for being a media processor. You want something 2.5Ghz Dual or higher with 3Gb of RAM and an ATI Graphics card as well.

meh i got a dell vostro 1700 laptop

and it runs call of duty 4 and 5 perfectly i havent tried GTA 4 as i havent got it for pc,

my spec 4gb ram, 256mb Nvidia 8600M GT graphics card, and a 2.0 duo core procssor, if you really wanna play games on a laptop youll have to get a dedicated grapics card such as an Nvidia or ATI not get a GMA good luck

You can play gta iv on a laptop, but it has to meet specs. Mine runs gta iv but i wish my geforce had 512mb instead of 256... it runs ok, but you can tell in some missions theres a little bit of lag, nothing unbearable though. I did have to buy a cooling pad, the vent felt like it could fry eggs.

    Vostro 1500, Intel Core 2 Duo T7500, 2.2GHz, 800Mhz FSB, 4M L2 Cache 256MB NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT 160G 5400RPM SATA Hard Drive 3GB, DDR2, 667MHz 2 DIMM running vista home (*hate* vista with a passion,wish i opted for xp)
