Remote desktop not working

I am running Windows XP with the latest updates on my computer. I can use the RDP to connect to several pc's on my network. When I am trying to connect to this one then I get "This computer can't connect to remote computer. Try connecting again. If problem continues, contact the owner of the remote computer or your system admin." After every pc restart it will allow me to login for the first time fine, but when I log out and then try to log in again with different credentials then I get the above error message. The user is also in the local remote desktop group. Thanks for any help.

I think that you might have not installed Service Pack 2 till yet on your computer, which is why you are getting that error.

I have just re-checked my computer it seems to hav Service Pack 2 if I check in the properties page of my computer icon. It is strange that I have got a network of 20+ pc and only one pc is doing this. Thanks for the reply.

Instead of lacking Service Pack 2, the machine you fail to connect might have a firewall in place without an exception for the port 3389. You can check the article on "How to Manually Open Ports in Internet Connection Firewall in Windows XP from the below link":
