    exist
Make sure that the device you’re trying to install the update for is
connected to the computer and turned on.

    You SUCK Microsoft!

You did not do anything wrong. It's just that Vista sucks. Microsoft neatly and nicely decided to roll out Vista in BETA mode. What that means is that all of the coding and scripting is messed up. People are getting coding messages, add-on messages from Firefox/Mozilla and IE and are unable to use Media Player to listen to their music on Myspace. There are all sorts of coding error messages. One of my favorites is: "Code 800F020B," which according to Microsoft, relates to hardware not being connected. The problem with that answer is that I have just purchased a brand new system unit and nothing is displayed under Device Manager as not being connected or any devices having problems. The problem just suddenly showed up. Not only that but when I go to myspace I am now unable to listen to my music because I receive the following message on my profile: "Hello, you either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Macromedia's Flash Player. Click here to get the latest flash player." When I try to download the latest flash player I can't because I am told the installation fails. When I try to download other updates I am told I can't because the update has failed. MICROSOFT - this is NOT a hardware issue! This IS A SOFTWARE Issue and just as soon as you figure it out or a REAL technician comes up with a fix and publishes it, guess what? Microsoft is going to snatch the answer just as they always do and publish the answer as their fix! YOU SUCK MICROSOFT AND YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE RELEASED VISTA IN BETA MODE!!!!

You do realize these are peer to peer newsgroups and there is no
requirement or expectation that anyone from Microsoft see your post?

A few ways to contact Microsoft:

    And:

If you have just purchased a brand new system that doesn't work the way that
it should, take it back to where you bought it and get the thing fixed or
    your money back.

First - peer-to-peer newsgroup. That means Microsoft may/may not ever see
    your message.
    http://support.microsoft.com/contactus/

Second - if you have a brand new system and it is doing this - your support
*is* those you bought it from and if they cannot make it work - they should
replace it or refund your money in exchange for returning their product.
Admittedly - Microsoft Vista is not something I recommend for anyone NOT
buying a brand new system that comes with it installed and supported by the
manufacturer for some of the very reasons you seem to be experiencing -
except if you are experiencing them with a machine they sold to you as a
Vista machine - you should return it or get them to install Windows XP on it
    for you at no charge.
