PowerPoint converter?

I am wondering if anyone has had any luck converting, or image capturing, a
PowerPoint presentation onto a DVD which would be played over a DVD/TV
combination player.

It confused me much. some of my friends use openoffice while others use Microsoft office. when I create a presentation on my computer with openoffice it can not open in PowerPoint. Is there any programing that can convert my openoffice file or Microsoft PowerPoint file to video format so that I can open my presentations with none of this two office ?

Recently,there are many software which can convert ppt to dvd, such as
ppt2dvd. It enables you to convert ppt format to dvd format,which you
can watch it on a dvd player conveniently. The biggest strength is
that it can retain the original animations in ppt. At the sametime, it
