How to install Intel Matrix Storage Manager in Windows 8?

I am using an SSD in my computer which has Windows 8 as its operating system. This SSD was working great with the Windows 7 operating system and gave no problems. But now in Windows 8 RTM, it is not being detected and thus I cannot even toggle between ID and AHCI that is need for the operation of the SSD. Cans someone tell me the reason for this problem?

Actually this problem of Windows 8 which is not accepting SSD is caused because of the drivers. The drivers that are needed for the SSD to work must not be compatible with Windows 8 RTM. I checked the Intel’s website for downloads and even they haven’t released any version of Intel Matrix Storage Manager for Windows 8. Without this you will keep getting this error. I suggest you to revert back to Windows 7 where the SSD worked properly and wait for Intel to release the proper version of Intel Matrix Storage Manager for Windows 8. Windows 8 RTM is not the full version of Windows 8. A proper retail version is yet to be released. This retail version of Windows 8 will be the one which will have complete support for majority of hardware and their drivers. It is not just Intel Matrix Storage Manager that is not supported in Windows 8 RTM. I suggest you to wait for few days when Windows 8 retail version will be released and Intel might release the new version of Intel Matrix Storage Manager that will be compatible with it.
