    how can I know the position on a document?

    What I basically want to do is to add a text box on a word document. Is there any ruler wherein I can tell where exactly want to insert the text box? Like, ___ centimeter from top, from left etc.

    Awaiting a quick reply!

    I guess, you should be checking the ‘addtextbox’ method in the word’s help file.

    They have enough solutions for all such queries.

    You seriously think, I’ve not tried that?

    That did not help but.

    The problem is: I cannot understand the points of the position I want. Because, the ruler does not show point.

    Oh! That’s simple to, if you want the ruler to display in points, follow the below given steps:

     go to Word Options
     Advanced
     Display
     Choose 'Points' from the 'Show measurements in units of' dropdown.

    Another way to do this would be using Word’s CentimetersToPoints function so that you can work in centimeters

    For eg:
    .Top = CentimetersToPoints(5)
    and Word will recognize this as a 5cm offset.
