Audacity 1.3.2 version has missed some settings in windows 7

Hi, I have been using the windows 7 in my machine with the audacity 1.3.2 version, and after installing this version I have seen that with the windows 7 there are too many functions missing in the audacity, so is this happening with me only or with all the persons who had used this version with the windows 7 and because of that only, I am not able to use the software wholly, I mean to say the way I have expected. So is there any new update or patch available for windows 7?

As far as I know the version that you have installed is for the MAC OS, so because of that only you are not having the full features with the software, so according to me you should downgrade the software version and use 1.2.X version in your system and see whether the same is happening or not, because even if you install another version you’ll not get any fault but if suppose there is any that means that the problem is in the windows 7 only.

I also have the same opinion as the above user as you should get the version recommended to you, rather than the one you have, because they are specially made for the MAC OS only. and while installing the audacity the essential things are the data folder and the .AUP files, so if some of the files would be missing from the machine or misplaced to another place then also you might be having this problem so please ensure that first.

If you are still having the problem you should get the same problem with the software you are running you should search for the software for Windows 7 64-bit or 32 bit whatever the version you have, I have done the same thing and after doing that it was working perfectly, as by searching I got 1.2.6 version and I installed the same in my machine, so need to bother even, directly download the same software to your machine.

Hey thanks for the replies guys as they were too helpful, in fact after downloading the files that you have mentioned it was working perfectly with all the functions enabled, but the thing that makes me wonder is like why they have given that much new function in the newer version, and that’s aright but the newer version is not working fine with the windows 7, that’s not fare, isn’t it? so is there any patch or update through which we can update the software and run with windows 7?
