How to set Photoshop as default program

I am editing the Photoshop file (*.psd) and that is linked to InDesign file. Problem is that when I click on the "Edit Original" button which is under the Under CS2 InDesign it opens the *.psd file with the preview in preference to Photoshop CS2. I want to change that so that it get opened with the Photoshop. I don’t have any idea that how this can be done. So if anyone of you can provide me some way lto do that then it will be really helpful for me. Thank you.

I was having the similar difficulty through opening PSD files outwardly from the DVD Studio Pro. Anyway, if you want then you can simply choose the PSD file from the finder and after that click and select the Get Info. From the open with list, you will have to select Photoshop and after that click "Change All." And this will change the default opening software for that file. I am sure that you will be able to o this by this way.

If ‘you are using the Mac OS 10.x then you will have to go to the file itself and after that modify the default program which is set for this with the Photoshop as you want. Once you are done with that then all the files of the similar type will be opened from Photoshop only. I have done the same in my computer and that is not showing any problem with that. So you can do the same and I hope that it will do the same for you as well.

It’s very easy to do that. All you have to do is, just right click on that image file that you want to open with the Photoshop and then choose the option as “open with”. This will open the list of all the available programs on your computer. You will get one of that as photoshop. Just click on that and that will be highlighted. After that you will see one checkbox at the bottom as "Always use this program with these types of files". Click on OK and that is it. It is done now.

You should highlight visualization in the Finder, then press win+i to view its info window. Click a small triangle "Open with," and select Photoshop from the pulldown post. When doing this, click on the "Change All" bind which is simply beneath the pulldown menu. Do the same for different pictures that have distinctive index arrange (.tif, .gif, and so forth.) than the arrangement you actually connected the update.

Just rightclick and select Open With and you'll get a post of every last trace of the systems utilized to open that document sort. In the event that Photoshop isn't in that record then prefer Change default system and update it to Photoshop while verifying that you deselect the Always utilize chose... checkbox. The following time you right+click and select Open With, Photoshop might as well be in the catalogue.
