I think that you should try to play the video which is ripped with the help of the windows media player I think so I am just guessing. I was able to play the video after I opened the video after the VTS_01_0.vob file and it is directly from the file. But when I played that the video and the sound were very choppy and the video was also pixilated. So I think that I have ripped the video with very low quality. And I think that now I have to change the settings of the video quality. I think that after changing the settings my problem will be solved. I think that you have to go into the tools option of the video LAN and then you have to set the message set the verbosity to 2 and I think that this will reveal.

From the discussion going on I think that you should use the pastebin but in this you will see too many text in that. And after that I have changed it to VTS_01_0.vob file. And after that I was able to watch the video but there were some problem that means the video is very low quality the video becomes very low quality. The video was very pixilated and very ugly. Now I am thinking to change the settings of the video quality.

If the problem Is not solved then you should try to convert the VOBs to MPEG I think that this is the very lossless transformation and the MPEG file is much more compatible with the player-compatible than VOBs, this is that the part of the DVD file set, and you should be stand alone files. I think that there are too many tools that are used to convert the.VOB files to MPEG files and there are also too many backup tools. I think that there are some software that will give you the M2V (video) and AC3 (audio) files and this can use the mux to an MPEG.

I think that you should try to use the demux and the remux the entire video by just simply using the Ifoedit and then they were showing the error that there were too many frames and drops after the half of the video but I tried to by doing the demuxing and remuxing each video for example I have done demux and remux VTS_01_1.vob. And after that you have to work for the sectors and then not for another sectors. This video should be 18 minutes long and the VLC displays the video as 13 hours. There are many tools such as the ReJig, but in this case the video was not so good.

In this case I would like to recommend you that are the all files that you are having are all they VOB files. If you have to rip a DVD then it should be VIDEO_TS folder. In this you only have to open the "Open Disc" don’t open the file instead of opening the file which is in the VLC you have to open the "Open Disc" and after that you have to select the Video_TS folder. In this case you have to play the file with the same DVD player but open it with the Video_TS folder.

Re: Unable to play .VOB playback files on VLC

I think that you should use the VLC and the MPC. The VLC and the MPC are built-in the MPEG2 codec and for the DVD and the VOB playback only. In this case if you are having the complete DVD that is the IFO, bup, vobs on the hard disk then I think that you have to select them and then open the folders or the Video_TS and the .IFO and after that you will get the full DVD playback such as the menus, etc. in this case you can also use the Power DVD.
