Windows 7: No response from display driver

I have a difficulty that I have noticed recently. The display driver is not responding for some seconds and after that it recovers, though in 30 seconds to one minute its returns to not responding condition. The display adapter which I am using is a ATI Radeon Xpress 1150. It normally happens while browsing internet through Firefox. I searched for this on internet but was not able to get the solution for this. I have tried all the things that I know to resolve the issue. Can you please tell me that what is the issue with that and how can it be resolved? Please help me with this.

It is tough that you can judge the trouble with by just observing it. Just make sure that the video is buffering or not. Other than this, you can also check that the flash player installed on your computer is up to date. If that is not up to date then I would like to recommend you to update that first and then check if that is able to solve the problem that you are facing. It was the reason when I was getting some problem with my display driver and updating the flash lets me out of the issue.

This is seems to be the issue with the installed driver in your computer. The driver which you are using might be corrupted or it might be not functioning properly and as a result of that you are getting this problem. What you can do is just update the video driver in your computer and see if the issue is getting resolved or not. This is one of the most possible cause and the solution for this and I hope that this is going to help you.

It can be the problem of overheating. So when the temperature of your system goes above the certain limit then it stops responding and again when the system cools down then it starts working again. You can make use of certain software to test the temperature of the system. If this is the case of overheating then you should solve this as soon as possible because it might create some problem for your system and you will be in big trouble.

All I can add is to check if the version of Firefox a day or not? To find out click on "Help" and then "About Mozilla Firefox" if it is out of the date then you should see "Version 6.3.15" If not, click the updates. The following would be a complete removal and reinstall Firefox. Consider your personal profile Firefox will still be there unless removed separately.

The problem you mentioned in your message, you may also be occurring for the application of any other, primarily for program related graphics. If there is any such application is installed on your system to remove one and see if the problem persists or not. If the problem is caused by the use of graphics then this process will certainly help. Few days ago I was also facing important issue, and after that when I tried to delete some of the graphics programs, the problem was solved.
