QuickTime gives unwanted cut-out while playing WMV files

I am having QuiceTime with me and I just love using them very much.I like to listen the music as well as like to watch the movies on it a lot. But now suddenly I am facing some kind of problem with it.The problem is that while playing some WMV files QuickTime gives some unwanted cut-out.And now this is happening frequently and this is something that is annoying me a lot. So does anyone knows the reason for this as I am getting very frustrated with it.Also can anyone tell me the solution to these answers.Please do get back to me on this immediately.

I think that there could be some kind of problem with the player that you are using and that is something which is causing you the problem. With me too there was a similar kind of problem.Initially things were fine. But then there were these problems that started to come up and then when I played a clip there would be frequent, intermittent cut-outs .And I was running Flip 4 Mac but then I stopped using it and then suddenly the problem was solved. So I guess that even you need to follow the same solution to fix the issue that you are facing.

What I feel is that you can anytime go with the solution that is being provided earlier but now I have a simpler solution which you may try to solve the problem that you are facing. What I am talking about is that you can just do a simple restart or repairing permissions and restarting the computer will solve such type of queries that you face.So I would suggest you this simple solution to fix the issue that you are facing and I am quite sure that you will be successful in it.

Thanks a lot for the replies.i just went through then and would say that this is something that is really exciting.I will first go for the simpler solution where I will first restart or do the repairing permissions and restarting the computer and hope that this will fix the issue that I am facing. If this doesn’t work then I am sure that the second options needs to be used to get away with this issue.Also I would suggest you that if you know any other solutions then please do get back to me.

I just had a look at the issue that you have put up and would say that the Flip4Mac that you are using might not be the latest one and that is the reason why you are facing this issue. So can you tell me that the Flip4Mac is of latest version or not? So this will probably give us a more clear idea of where you need to go what steps you need to follow. Also have you tried playing the WMV files on QuickTime7? This may probably help you and also will help you to get away with the problem that you are facing.

The solution worked for me .I just used the solutions that were mentioned here and it helped to to fix the issue that I was facing immediately. I first tried restarting the system and then tried to do the repairing permissions and restarting the computer but that didn’t help me and then I tried the other solution. And then thank fully that worked for me and I was very happy. So now I would like to thank you all for the solutions that you have provided to me as they helped me to fix the issue that I was facing.
