QuickTime 7.6 Pro vs. 10.0 for converting VIDEO_TS to DV

I required two mechanisms to alter DVD to DV. Can this be made with those components in QuickTime V10 or just in QuickTime 7 Pro? At this time I am utilizing Snow Leopard with V 10, but I could haven QuickTime 7.6 over from my G4. I really not understood how to solve this. I search this on many other forums, but cant the proper solution for this. So please if anyone has any idea about this than, please provide me. Any lend a hand would be respected.

You should previously have QuickTime 7. Mac OS X 10.6 comprised QuickTime versions 10.0 and 7.6. The QuickTime 7 player will just be there if a QuickTime Pro key was nearby at the time of setting up or if precise as fraction of a norm install, or independently downloaded. Snow Leopard updates 10.6.4 built-in an update to 7.6.6 (if installed). You can setup it from the apple site although it says for 10.6.3. It's the similar version of QuickTime Player 7.6.6.

Have not utilized Popcorn since v1.0.3 as translation features were added to Titanium Toast. Though if the present edition of Popcorn utilizes the similar conversions as Toast, then I would for myself favor MPEG Streamclip as having additional manual control options. For example, I like having the alternative to scan for/fix timecode breaks; merger frames if dipping frame rates; make adjustments to brightness, contrast, or volume; resample audio to 50 KHz if required; crop/re-scale below scan areas; and so on. With consider to DV, I like being able to choose DV (25), DVCPRO25, or DVCPRO50 output; reinstate misplaced anamorphic flags; and so on.

Any translation can minor the quality. DV (25) is the typical DV/DV format utilized by most ordinary camcorders. DVCPRO25 and 50 are DV/Linear PCM formats utilized by firm other camcorders. QT applications can grip either. (IMovie usual imports as DV (25) as FCE/FCP usually imports as DVCPRO for editing reasons.) Most excellent video quality would be achieved by just de-multiplexing the MPEG-2 at ease to an M2V file balancing with an AAIF elementary stream file. While this video media is not QT edit well-matched, it is playback well-matched with the majority QT players like QT, iTunes, or Front Row and is as well QT conversion well-matched, but just if you have the QT MPEG-2 Playback Component installed.

That was extremely obliging, but plenty to think about. Yes, a few of the technical aspects, but as well the way I wish to take to archive my video (typically family new and old). My DVD player is almost dead so I would necessitate going out and getting a fine DVD player if DVD archive was my aim and archival quality DVDs. Fortunately I at a standstill have the majority of the video on mini-DV tape, so there's one more form of archival if taken suitable care of.

Both DV and MPEG-2 files a based on an alleged rectangular pixel facet ratio. The similar encode matrix (720x480 or 720x576) is utilized to encode both 640X480 (4:3) or 1024x576 PAL exhibit files. The just genuine dissimilarity is between 4:3 and 16:9 aspect files is the dissimilarity in PAR value rooted within the encoded file and, as mentioned over, is one of the causes I advise users NAT familiar with PAR encoding utilize the AIC video codec that is not based on a broadcast standard.
