Cannot install Silverlight 3

Hello everyone, I am tired of doing one thing again and again, as I am facing problem to install Microsoft SilverLight 3. First I have tried to install it, as it was not working properly, so I tried to uninstall it. But I am not able to do anything. I have tried this again and again but I am not getting any success in it. I am not able to understand why it is not working my PC as previously it was working smoothly in my Pc, but I am not sure that it was trial version or anything else. I am also using Visual Studio 2008 which I have been converted in to trial to full version. I have almost tried every possible ways but not working for me, can anyone help me please? Thanks a lot in advance.
I have also check the logs I am not able to understand what exactly it wants. .

Hey I have seen your post, wee in that case I can only suggest you to visit SilverLight Website, it will ask you to install SilverLight 3 Plug-in. if it not working then according to me you must check the Windows update. It might be listed under it. Sometime it happens that because of Windows update and Firewall settings many application gets installed but they don’t run or you can say they don’t work properly. Keep in mind that firewall must be turned on when you re-install SilverLight and Plug-ins. I think it give you some idea to fix your problem. All the best!!!

Hello, it is nice that you check the record of log files, if you concentrate on log file you will come to know that, the application which you are trying to install is already been installed on your system. i think you might have tried this try it again, check into Add/Remove from control panel by checking Show update option. If it doesn’t fixes your issue then just delete from Registry Editor. From run command open registry editor and then go to "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\SilverLight" and delete SilverLight from there. And finally again start installation after doing reboot of system. I think this might help to solve problem.

Hey thanks friends, I was facing the same problem from many days, after reading your post I tried all the method at my place and I got through to my problem. I think uninstaller is not able to remove it from registry editor. Because it was showing that application is already been installed on your system. but when I try this Registry Editor method I delete particular file on my own. When I did it first time the file got deleted from registry but when I restarted the PC and again tried to install it was again not working for me, after that I followed the same method for twice and finally It worked for me. thank a lot again!!!
