    MediaSource 5 not working

Hello,I am having a laptop running on windows 7 operating system. I have installed the creative Media Source 5 software but now I am having problem with it. Since the system had installed windows automatic update, the software is not working properly. I am unable to play most of the unprotected music files. Ripping of the CDs is also not possible. When I try to play the songs which are protected ones many error messages were displayed. Please suggest what to do.

The windows automatic update might have caused this problem. Windows might have updated some of the files in MediaSource5 software due to which it is not able to open the music files and displaying error messages. To solve this problem, you should uninstall the software and then restart the computer. Now again reinstall it back and then try to play the music files which you tried earlier. Uninstallation and reinstallation will surely fix the problem.

Can you tell from where you downloaded the 'Creative MediaSource 5. Did you download from internet or you installed it from the CD. If you had installed it from the Cd then just uninstall it. Let the windows automatic update install in your system and then reinstall the Media Source5. If you don’t have the copy of media source 5 then download it from the internet. Reinstallation will surely fix the error.

Thank you all, guys. I was very much worried about the error that occurred in MediaSource 5. Since last week. I had not been able to listen to any music. I just wanted to get rid of this problem so I shared my problem with you guys. After viewing all your suggestions, I just uninstalled the Media Source5 from the system. And when I restored it back to the system my entire problem were solved. All the music file opened and played well without any error.
