how to set up a schedule for a 24/7 training program in Project 2007

Although experienced in Project for normal work hours, I am having a devil of a time figuring out how to set up a schedule for a 24/7 training program. Selected the 24hour format but then Durations ended up three times what was expected. So, went into the Timescale and defined a day as 24 hours but then ended up with Durations that show as fractions/decimals of a day? Any experience with this? Thanks, Mike

You must know that the project should have a start date set in the Project/Project Information. Choose an arbitrary date and then either change the Project Start Date when known or use the Adjust_Dates macro in the Analysis toolbar. All the FAQs, companion products and other useful Project information can be seen at this web address: http://project.mvps.org/faqs.htm

I don't see what the Start Date has to do with the "Duration" column showing as a fraction of a day' ie: 27.63 days?
