Need help to upgrade AutoCAD on new Macbook Air

I am appearing to improve from my “Macbook Air rev A” to the latest edition. How AutoCAD does for Mac sprint on the novel airs? It’s an Air, so I am not expecting that much, but my “rev A” won't setup AutoCAD and I would like to escape from dual booting into Windows to sprint AutoCAD and Solid works. Is there anyone who has any knowledge about this? Please provide me some information regarding this. Thanks for your advice.

There is no method I would utilize BootCamp. I wish to be able to access each of my applications with no booting again. I utilize Parallels (improved to Parallels 6.0) and thus far have had a quite astral experience, with just some slight hiccups. I am running AutoCAD LT 2010, that while not the similar as the novel AutoCAD for Mac is at a standstill an extremely healthy application. I as well sprint CS4 (Mac A) with no problems. I am utilizing XP in its place of Windows 7 for an inferior in the clouds approach. Please note however, that my major machine is a 27" iMac and that while I sprint AutoCAD on the Air I generally have it hooked-up to a bigger monitor. Appears to be okay thus far. Go for it!

I supposed the 11" was rather sluggish for those software’s. I will depart to the apple store to perceive effectual weight and dimensions of the 13". If it well in my satchel I will purchase it. I had not unlocked a novel subject because in the earliest post as well talking regarding Solid works. I thought it was improved than unlock two extremely same threads. I readed you have the 13" air with the pinnacle CPU; How regarding the dissimilarities between yours and the base 13" CPU?

I have not experienced ACAD on the 1.86, but I don't think there would be a problem. The major dissimilarity will be prepared by the amount of RAM, not processor pace, followed by the amount of drive space. As well, since ACAD is at this time inhabitant for the Mac, I am certain that it is additional well-organized, as you would not have to sprint ACAD on pinnacle of Windows on pinnacle of Snow Leopard, as I am doing. Best of luck!

I am settling on between the 13/1.86/6 GB RAM/128 SSD, and the 13/2.13/6 GB/256 SSD. Similar as Lorenzo, I was speculating if the processor hit would have an immense impact on performance of AutoCAD (or common performance). I consider my stock revA performance is detained back by the sluggish HDD, so I can't notify if the processor pace is something I truly require. I will utilize typically word, keynote, illustrator, Skype and ACAD. Not anything too powerful, but I detestation putting back computers earlier than 2 years, so I am tending to max out the specs to final, as well the complete thing regarding backlit keyboard. How much do you miss that ability? I am so utilized to having it currently, but I think I should be able to deal.

To be sincere I think no Macbook Air is going to be immense for AutoCAD. I experienced it out on a 13" MBP 2.4 with an SSD in it [an additional snappy machine than my 11" Macbook Air I might put in], and it was not immense. I think it is the video card which holds it back and truly I would suggest a 15" MBP if it is your just machine. If a secondary mechanism you may get away with it, but any complex models are not going to be greatly amusing. As I said, it is immense on my Mac pro and a dissimilar knowledge to the MBA, and that is just drawing a pair of lines! Still to experiment it out correctly truly, but I deduction I could with a few drawings from work.
