unable to open winamp in windows xp

I’m using windows xp operating system in my desktop computer, I’ve brought a movie to watch in my computer. When I try to play the movie in winamp, the winamp refuses to open a file. I tried one more time to play the movie but again the same problem is happening. Then I try to open a winamp, without playing the video, but winamp also won’t open. I don’t know what is the problem, but I want to know what it is. Please tell me what is the problem and how to solve it. Please help me.

I think your winamp player is infected by a virus, but I’m not sure. There are viruses which affect specially your software application or any other media player. Scan your computer for viruses, if any virus is found then remove it from the list. If you don’t have a antivirus software then you can download it from internet. Many website offer the online antivirus software. If you don’t want to buy a software, then you can use trial version for one month.

You should reinstall the winamp software. I think your winamp get corrupted and you need to remove that winamp and reinstall it back. For uninstalling you have to follow some steps: click start->double click control panel->click on add or remove-> you’llsee all the software which is install in your system. You have to select the winamp software and click on remove. Once you have click to remove, then your software get uninstall. Now reinstall your winamp back. Hope it works for you.

Have you downloaded something from internet ?. if yes, then I think your winamp get affected by a virus. Whenever you download anything from internet you should first scan for virus. If you don’t have a antivirus then get it from your friend. You can also download it from internet but I think you’ll get a trial version on internet, I’m not sure. After installing antivirus software scan your full hard drive, because you don’t know the exact location of virus. It will take few to scan your full system you have to keep patient. Once scan is completed, you can see the result in which all the detected virus will be listed. If you don’t find any virus in the list, then ask to a expert.
