Troubleshooting error after installing Oracle JInitiator

I was using Microsoft SQL server on my desktop. Using SQL database was working fine. Now I wanted to use oracle database so I downloaded oracle JInitiator database. After the installation of oracle database I restarted the system. After the system restarts my internet explorer was crashed and I am getting a lot of error. I need a solution so that I can troubleshoot this problem and use the oracle database efficiently.

If you want to use oracle database then you should download it. If your internet explorer pop up blocker is on then it may cause problem. For the downloading of oracle JInitiator the pop up blocker should be disabled. You can disable the pop up blocking by going to the "Tools","Pop Up Blocker” and then select “OFF”. After downloading and installating JInitiator you can enable it by going to the "Tools","Pop Up Blocker” and choosing the “ON” option.

If you are getting the error of internet explorer or your internet explorer has been crashed then you can easily fix it. Before the installation of Oracle JInitiator you have to be sure that you are having the higher version of internet explorer installed. If you are having the lower version of internet explorer such as below 5.5 versions then if might crash easily. For the oracle installation you should have 5.5 and above versions.

If you have installed oracle JInitiator and you are facing the number of problem due to internet explorer then you can easily resolve it. Before the installation of oracle JInitiator you should check that your internet explorer is having lower settings. Due to high settings of internet explorer you might face problem. You can lower the internet explorer settings in few steps. To set the settings to lower you need to open the internet explorer browser and then browse to the Tools/ Internet Options and in the internet explorer window click on the security tab. select custom level and then click on bottom of the security dialog box. In the drop down menu, select “low” and then click on ok button. After the installation of oracle JInitiator you can again change the security settings.

Thanks for giving me the solution. I have successfully applied the above given solution and the problem got resolved. I have successfully installed the JInitiator for oracle. After the successful installation I am facing the error. While starting the oracle JInitiator I am getting a gray screen. I tried to restart the system but the problem exists again. I need a solution so that I can troubleshoot and resolve this problem.

After the successful installation of oracle JInitiator if you are getting the gray screen then either you have not installed it properly or you are having different version. To resolve the gray screen you need to download the correct version form the official website. After the installation you need to follow each and every steps of the installation. After the successful installation start the oracle JInitiator and check if the problem has been resolved.
