    QuickTime Pro Crashes on Windows

I have recently upgraded the QuickTime to QuickTime Pro on my Windows. It was working without any giving any kind of problem. But after sometimes when I have played the movie which I need to play it in iTunes as a fresh video podcast I have faced this problem. I have modify the aspect ratio to widescreen it resolve the problem. When I run the audio recording ability of the program, it gave me the problem. The QuickTime takes a second to launch, with the QuickTime the text appears in the task bar at the bottom of my display screen, but the program couldn’t launch even when I had clicked on the task bar. I have gone to the Windows Task Manager it shows the application is running, but something it causing me a conflict. Do anyone of have faced such kind of solution to solve this. Any support related to this will be appreciated.

Re: QuickTime Pro Crashes on Windows

You try this solution to remove your problem form your windows system.
Quit QuickTime (if you've got the button showing down in the task bar). Next, you'll need to make sure you are set up to view hidden files and folders in XP.
    1. Open My Computer from the desktop or Start menu.
    2. In the Tools menu, click Folder Options.
    3. Click the View tab.
    4. In the "Advanced settings" pane under "Hidden files and folders" make sure that the "Show hidden files and folders" option is selected.
    5. Click OK.

There are two different sets of pref files that might be responsible for this. First we'll try clearing the QuickTime.qtp.
    6. In My Computer, open Local Disk: C or whichever drive your documents are stored on.
    7. Open the Documents and Settings folder.
    8. Open the folder with the name of the XP user account in which QuickTime is behaving badly.
    9. Open the Local Settings folder.
    10. Open the Application Data folder.
    11. Open the Apple Computer folder.
    12. Drag the QuickTime folder out onto the Desktop.

Launch the QuickTime Player again. (This rebuilds that folder and contains preferences files.)

Is it displaying properly again? If so, you should be fine now. If not, we'll rebuild the QTPlayerSession.xml. Quit QuickTime first (again).

    13. In My Computer, open Local Disk: C or whichever drive your documents are stored on.
    14. Open the Documents and Settings folder.
    15. Open the folder with the name of the XP user account in which QuickTime is behaving badly.
    16. Open the Application Data folder.
    17. Open the Apple Computer folder.
    18. Drag the QuickTime folder ought on to the Desktop.

Try launching the QuickTime Player again.

Re: QuickTime Pro Crashes on Windows

I have resolved the problem by following this solution the points from 6-12, I have done but didn’t resolve the problem from my system. But when I have tried the suggestions from 13-18, that helps me. And then I was able to upgrade the QuickTime Pro version by writing the key again in it which I had. This solution is very helpful to me.
