ZF612702.cab, cant find this cab file

Had a virus hit my pc and ran avg which detected several viruses and quarantined them, but now having problems opening any programmes, mainly office ones, all come up with same error message saying cant find this cab file. Looked everywhere on the internet and nothing seems to work. Does not exist on cd.

Can anyone help?

The system file has been corrupted (might have infected by virus), that's why you are getting the same error message. The good solution for your problem is to repair the operating system. Repairing will definitely solve the problem.

Yeah, system restore may also help you but not sure. Because if some system files are deleted then it is tough to restore it. So try to restore first, and if that is not helping then try to repair you operating system.
