Reading a network stream , like a webradio, or WebTV , is going in File -> Open Network Stream. To open Internet streams ( HTTP : Internet radio , WebTV , Shoutcast , Icecast ...), FTPOr MMS ( Microsoft Media Server ), choose " HTTP / FTP / MMS " and enter the URL in the text box.For the location of a stream , make a right click on the channel , and select Info. VLC can automatically add a list of channels , selecting in the playlist , Manage - > Service Discovery - > Shoutcast TV listings.

You need to use a software to watch / record digital TV , in theory compatible with any card that has BDA drivers . The goal was to make the software lighter and fast as possible, with an interface similar to DScaler4 and K! TV.
It does not do as many things as the Media Center available, but allows the main view, record , make screenshots , select and configure the codecs used . It is also possible to dynamically change the soundtrack ( without German or ac3 ) , record all channels of a multiplex at the same time and record a channel while watching another from the same multiplex , with a TNT Classic .

I used the DVB Web Scheduler Pro software to record the stream and MPEG Streamclip 1.1 for Windows ( a Mac version also exists ) to separate channels to keep. The software DVB Web Scheduler Pro is a charge and costs $ 25. However , a significant number of features is available free and without time limit . For our use, it works perfectly free. MPEG Streamclip is free.
