LightRoom 3 error when import Photoshop catalog.

I searched a bit on the net but I did not find any explanation. I am trying import the Photoshop catalog in the LightRoom 3. I start lightroom import with all pictures are selected import starts and after a while I have the following error message "The following files were not imported because their reading is impossible. (303) with a list of files". I started to import. The import window takes more time to appear and photos already imported and are no longer selected after 8 pictures I imported the following message the following files were not imported because their reading is impossible. (295) I raise again the following files were not imported because their reading is impossible. (277). Any idea related to this LightRoom 3 error when import Photoshop catalog.

Try to check your card reader, may be the card reader you are trying to use is causing the problem. You can also try to change the time of extinction. I am not sure that it will be better but try to do it. Actually I am not an expert related to this field but I was also facing the similar problem and the card reader that I was using causing the issue.

Thank you for the advice you have given. I have no card reader and I have never had the problem with the previous unit (Bridge FZ28) or I shoot RAW and also on the same USB. I noticed how every time the error message appears there is also the Windows to insert a new disk that appears. In addition yesterday unloaded a lot of photos without problem. I wonder if this is not related to the fact that the card is full. Should I try "move" rather than "copy" when importing.

In my view, there is nothing to do with the card. I bet rather a problem of accidental disconnection of the NPC. But if Windows displays the connection to a device when it restarts, it is clear that it has lost the connection. Solution that is not really one, use a card reader, USB or better, firewire. And there, in addition to going faster, I bet that imports will still work without hitch.

Buy yourself a small card reader, 10 Euros and I know it is really expensive and according to me there is no other solution for this problem. In the meantime you can try to redo a test. Just repeat a series of 350 pictures. It was enough to make 20 pictures on the card. After that import all at once in lightroom, thus it seems to be related to the full functionality. It must disrupt the 50D during the transfer operation

I am also facing similar problem actually I am having constant crashes lightroom 3, yet I have a computer powerful enough core Dell XPS 730 Quad Q9450, 2.66 Gz, 4gig Ram 1033 MGZ, GForce 9800GT video 512Mg, 2 screens under vista 32 bit premium. I have a library of about 14,000 images in RAW very well structured. My pictures are on a separate internal hard drive 1TG. I purge the cache and optimize the library regularly. Nevertheless, after changing some images in the module developement, Lightroom stops working.

By cons it would be interesting to know if we are the majority or minority to experience these judgments surprises. I am also using lightroom since the beta versions.
