Acrobat Pro Extended 9 Admin Install Update

I noticed that after installing the update Adobe Reader 9 , Adobe Reader version 8 ( pre- installed on my pc) is still present but inactive . Is it because the uninstall I found that this was still 52 MB , there is also version 7.0.8 ( 83MB ) also present. Is Adobe 8 will still work if I proceed with these cuts ? Please help. Thank you in advance for your advice.

Adobe had warned , there are almost three weeks now , thata critical flaw existed in several versions of the Reader drive , but also in products Acrobat Pro and Acrobat Pro Extended . Grinds 7, 8 and 9 of these software were affected , and the fault could achieve a buffer overflow , causing a crash of the application and eventually taking control of the system.

All Windows , Mac OS X and Linux have been concerned when even one of these drafts was installed . The editor had then said that his crews were working on a solution and that he had contacted the antivirus vendors to be prepared to fight the threats that could exploit the flaw. Adobe has added so that no updates would be published before March 11 and again only for version 9 .

We are now at the day in question and the publisher has kept his word stamped patch 9.1 Versions are available for Windows and Mac OS X. the critical flaw is now blocked, and Adobe took the opportunity to fix other problems encountered by users , including management of workflow. The update applies to both the casual reader as complete editions Acrobat Reader and Acrobat Pro.

When a software application restart is often because he needs to replace the system files used by that same system has been unable to download (at least through an install). Adobe Reader must certainly update the dll that provides a preview of pdf files in Windows Explorer. In my case no reboot was needed probably because I did not use the preview feature.
