    Archos 15 and 18 vision availability ?

    Hi everyone,
    I am curious to know something about the MP3 player getting ready to launch but don't have much information about this .Actually, I am searching for a new mp3 player and I got that the archos 15 and 18 vision are tagged on the archos official website with the prior information, however retailers do not seem to be issue them in market yet. Do you have any idea or any gueses as to when these will be available in the US?Please let me know about this ??

    Syncing MC13 with my latest Archos 5 evaluating very funny results..

    - When sorted by years, all of the pre-1970 file shows within 1970;
    - There are few of the albums or songs would not show in the Archos library.

    When looking for a Archos via its file structure, these files are stated here. They are located in the Archos but not present in its library file. These files listed here as MP3 files. I didn't got any specific difference between those and different MP3 files that behave commonly. When I was trying to sync this, MC13 sometimes goes very funny things. For example , it removed my entire files on the Archos yesterday..

    If you are running with an Archos 5, there is one thing that you have to do is just uncheck the "Resync if date modified has changed". It looks like that the Archos internal library somehow configures this information more or less Accordignly, so this always needs to resync everything. And that can be a issue if you only need to sync a number of files but it needs to sync about 15 000.

    Currently, there is one thing which would be actually fine and would be to make the "recheck sync" a lot quicker with the Archos. Now, with close to 15000 files for checking , it consumes your time near about 10 minutes. I don't have idea whether it can be performed ...

    can you tell me something in this discussion, How satisfied are you with your Archos 5? Can you tell me something about this ..
    • Which one file formats, you are working with this currently ?
    • Which purposes ? Audio, Video, ... ?
    • Overall, usability together with MC13?

    I am just querying to you because I also got the same thing at the Archos, but read a lot about buggy firmwares..

    Not much satisfied, really. It contains a number of features and also running with the bugs, some of them frankly complex and problematic.File formats: MP3 and some audio book files (M4a?), as for the sound files. Video files: I have no idea about this. Some goes better and some not. Purposes: actually, I just need to be with a gadget. I am running with an iPod and this is commonly of a more practical use. I will search this out how to work with this once and I have fixed the issues. Usability with MC13: good than with WMP. MC13 allows for very particular manipulations and that is useful with a capricious object just as the Archos.
