Hello all!
im having an issue with the video game blur, its not a multiplayer issue by any means. when i launch blur, it takes a while and my screen flickers twice before it actually loads the beginning intro videos. after that its all good until i get to the screen where i choose single player or multiplayer, regardless of which one i click, as soon as i click it the screen starts to flicker and its locked up for about 40 seconds, it then resumes. after i get past all the rest of the stuff and i get to choose a car for a race, as soon as the car is switched to a different one it again hoses up for 40 seconds to load the car. after its done flickering i can proceed to load the race and start the race as normal. but now every minute or so it will hose up again for 40 seconds while it flickers, sometimes longer if theres alot going on. it makes it very unplayable, and ive tried to research it as best i can to diagnose the problem myself. ive cleaned my drivers, upgraded my sound, and video drivers. installed Dual core optimizer hoping that would work. i have more then enough power to run this game, or any game for that matter. when i do get to play its very beautiful and it never drops below 80 fps and plays very smoothly, it doesnt lagg at all. i havent even tried the multiplayer yet but im sure it will do the same thing. The hardware im using is: Phenom II x2 545 @ 3.6G, Ati Radeon X1800Crossfire edition 512MG 256bit 16 pipes (beast), 3 Gig OCZ ddr2 1066, a76ml-k foxconn Mobo, 4 Seagate Barracuda's Sata (not in raid). the rig might not look like alot, but its the perfect blend, it pushes even the most demanding games without a hiccup, so why does this game give me problems?
any help would be appreciated, thanks guys.
