    CG Texture Conservation Help

    Actually, I need help for CG Texture Conservation, here is what I am trying to do. I am trying to achieve a massive texture stitch or record of an area of coral.
    My camera rig consists of a HDV camera with levels installed so its Z axis is as solid as possible, perpendicular to the sea bed, and Y and X remain as level as possible also. I have arranged a trio of crossing lasers to give me a fixed distance from the sea bed. Basically I swim or use a propulsion vehicle over a massive area and to record coral at the bottom with matching 'stitchable' stripes or bands.

    I am also facing the similar problem, So far I have to repeat this process about every month for the entire area and I am manually sitching framework together but it is much time consuming and produce inaccurate results that is not good for me. The part of the picture I am concerned about is the center strip. The thing I need to automate the process more, or it will be better to a copy of 2d3 Tacitview but it is too costly.
    Any helpful reply will be appreciated.

    I do not know whether this will work perfectly but you can try for this you can remove lens distortion and the thing you need is the track camera in which is like Boujou and after that take the data and bake it to a single surface.
    You can also try this in Maya live, first track a frame, solve it, then bake the center strip, after that repeat till the image sequence is completed.

    If you are having multiple images that require to be stitched together, then you can go for the photomerge in the photoshop software. It is very effective. You just need to take different photos which you want to merge, and then place them in the position you need and then just merge them. There are many tutorials present on the net for photomerge. I hope this will help you.

    According to me it will be better if you post some of the image from the sequence you need to stitch. It will make much easier for understanding what you need to achieve.
    Try to use panorama stitchers something like Gigapan or PTGui. They are normally limited to only 360X180 canvas but if you buy the license you will able to work on the desired canvas.

    Tracking a series of images that you shoot I have found you have to stich by hand or the results are not good to very poor. You get better results shooting with a zoom lens from further back and panning over a large area.

    A 10 or 12 megapixel DSLR shoot from a fixed point of the issue and try to keep your pan movement centered around your camera body.

    Thanks for all the suggestion you have given so far;
    The first thing I will do is load some images so that you can have the better idea of the problem.
    The next thing I slip an HD camera through the bottom with a laser-guided rig, so to pan smoothly and with minimal distortion of the axes.
