As far as i know this depends on the DVD player whether it can support only NTSC format or it can also support the PAL format. Also i would advice you to dvdgenie for maing the PC region free. After this has been done when you try to burn the VOB files it will make it region free by default without bothering much.

I was concerned about the issue and I have begun to work, that if only the main video as the menu is beyond my knowledge and I have finally succeeded.
I explain the steps I followed.
    • DVD ripper (only the main video without menus) to activate the option SmartRipper demux.
    • I open the resulting m2v file with target PROCODER and choose DVD NTSC.
    • Finally I Authoring TMPGEnc DVD Author and paint by adding audio, video to NTSC.

It is very hard work but sooo not long enough which spends hours working, but hey better than nothing. I suppose that all this would have occurred to someone, but I'll post it just in case. Greetings.

No matter the region which can even be zero or NO REGION, the problem here is video, the PAL and NTSC are different, and may not play a standard computers on the other rule, because you will not see anything, and if you see what you see distorted, here again, the problem is not REGION, but video standards.

I would advice you using the backup dvdshrink because it has an option that asks you which format you want me to create region files and if you choose region free region free so you can play on any reporductor the world. Or at least I think .

I hope that this will resolove the problem which you are facing.

LG players convert PAL to NTSC and vice versa, the Pioneer can read the two standards, one that does the conversion, so if the TV must be multinorm so that there is no prolem with standards Pioneer DVD, the Sony for example (both DVD and TV) are not multinorm, then we must change to have a PAL dvd to NTSC you must use the SmarTrip in FILE MODE "to choose the option STREAMS make the videos and audios

With menus do not know how you could proceed, If you want to burn videos alone then you could do with choosing the output ntsc format and then an authoring program for you to create the vob and ifo files. It is not complicated but it takes time. Anyways it is always up to you which method you prefer.
