How to troubleshoot startup problems in Excel?

Hello everyone,
I have recently installed Microsoft Office on my system. Many times I am facing problems while starting an Excel. Since I have recently started doing work with the application I am not having much idea about it. I want some guidance from you guys about the troubleshooting an issues that I am facing during the startup. So, please tell me how to troubleshoot startup problems in Excel? Hoping for the proper solution as soon as possible.!!

It is important to keep track of equipment or software updates that you performed just before the onset of the problem because they may be directly involved. First, examine the extent of the problem. The problem happens when you start Excel by clicking on a file or folder when you run Excel from the Start menu? If the problem only occurs when you open an Excel file, see "Other problems when opening Excel files. Then you will have to learn more about it. Quit Excel and rename the following registry keys, for example, rename excel in excel.old. When you start Excel again, it triggers a repair that restores the defaults settings. You can delete certain registry keys to reset customized user settings for your Microsoft Office programs.

If the problem occurs only when you start Excel, follow these steps :

1. Click Start, point to Find, then click Files and folders.
2. In the Search for files or folders named, type Excel.exe.
3. In the Look In list, click My Computer, then click Find Now.
4. After finding the file Excel.exe, double-click it to start Microsoft Excel.

The default location of Excel.exe depends on the version you have installed.
