    Best alternative for divx files

    Hi,
Quicktime does not work here to play DivX files on my Mac pc. For this which audio player is the most suitable one. Today vlc is widely used for the similar purpose. But does this also need to add up codecs again and again for any new format. I do not have a internet connection here so I need a suitable tool which can run Divx files without any codecs issue.

The vlc player allows playback of DivX HD Plus that is .avi files and also H.264/AAC/MKV. This player is very elegant and allows full-screen playback. It provides an additional element of many adjustment possibilities of reading. This software is free and can therefore you can use the same with QuickTime. VLC actually automatically open your DivX files.

MPlayerOSX Extended is an tool for the same which uses the same technique as used by VideoLAN (VLC), but the application MPlayerOSX Extended appears increasingly as the solution most favored by experts in the video for viewing DivX on Macs. Extended MPlayerOSX comes from the Linux world. There is a version of MPlayer OS X and a version of MPlayer OS X Etended that provides (as its name suggests) extended features. Since both versions are free, use the version as extended (even if the version extended is an unofficial version).

The installation of MPlayerOSX Extended is much easier than before. The results are extremely convincing: You can watch a DivX on your Mac in excellent condition, full screen and with the guarantee to have an excellent picture. At first launch, MPLayerOSX Extended will build its own cache of fonts. This may take some time. This is normal and only occurs when launching the first video.

To open a sequence Divx, simply run the application MPlayerOSX Extended go to File then Open and select your DivX movie! You can also drag the file onto the icon MPlayerOSX Extended. The application can be used like any other video playback applications. To view in full screen, go to menu Movie > Size > Full Screen. In short, you will understood in terms of DivX, failing to have an integrated solution for Apple OS X, you still have several ways to watch your favorite DivX, and this is essential.

There are many other possible methods, either by the use of CODEC, software or even the Terminal to run the DivX file. You decide which method will give you full satisfaction. The best way to work for this is VLC media player. An optimum solution to play all type of videos and audios along with their conversion support. No need to addup any codec in that.
