Powerpoint 2010 runs slowly in windows XP

Recently i have installed the Microsoft Office 2010 application on my system. Last night i was trying to create a presentation with the help of the Microsoft Power point Application but was not allowed to do so because the powerpoint application was running very slowly in windows XP. I have this installed on my laptop too which is running with the windows 7 but it runs nicely with that. Help me to go about it.

It is quiet hard to predict on this problem because you have not mentioned the configuration of the system which you are talking about Since the application may be running slowly because your system does not have enough resources so that the application can run peacefully and quiet faster than present.

The best possible solution to this problem is to upgrade the system because it seems as your system is not having enough configuration to run these application also mention the service pack which you are using currently on your system too so that i can help you or give you a proper solution to end this issue.

Thanks a lot for replying me. since i posted my earlier post in some sort of hurry i forgot to mention the system configuration and also the windows XP service pack which i am using. I am using a system with Intel Pentium 4 , 3.0 GHz I have installed 2 GB of RAM and 160 GB of Hard disk drive which is more than enough for the application.

The system configuration which you have mentioned is ore than enough to run the Microsoft Office 2010 application on your system. But if you are not able to run this application faster as it should run than i think your system might be affected by a virus so scan it and then remove all the viruses. I think that the problem would be solved.

The system configuration which you have mentioned is quiet good to run the application faster. If you cannot run it faster then it might be due to the antivirus scheduled scan that may be running in the background try to check it in the Task Manager. Other wise scan and remove the viruses that are consuming all the RAM memory.
