    Powerpoint text converter

    Hello,

    I can't open the powerpoint presentation file which i got by email because it has no text converter where i can the test converter for powerpoint? or the file is not proper? i don't have much idea about it? please help.

    Haven't you installed the microsoft office? powerpoint belongs to ms powerpoint which comes with microsoft office installation. Till you won't install the ms office you can't view the powerpoint files which you got by email. Hope this will help you.

    No its not necessary to install the ms office to view the powerpoint files. Microsoft also provides the powerpoint viewer which is free tool to view the ppt files and slideshows. But i doubt if you can edit those files with it. Because as its name suggests its only viewer not a ppt creater. Download it from here PowerPoint Viewer 2007 , Microsoft Office PowerPoint Viewer 2007 lets you view full-featured presentations created in PowerPoint 97 and later versions.

    Those who can't afford to buy the ms office, there is best and free altervative available called, OpenOffice.org which can be downloaded from here, it supports all ms office file formats you can edit them also and create a new office file format files also. Its awesome i'm using it and never felt to buy the Ms office.
