    Unable to start thunderbird after importing .ics in Lightning

    Yesterday when i imported a .ics file into lightning after that incident i am unable to start thunderbird. I don't what went wrong please tell me why i am Unable to start thunderbird after importing .ics in Lightning. Tell me a way to get rid of this problem. I would really appreciate your help in this regard. Thanks in advance

    Hi friend i cannot help you since you have not mentioned enough details about this problem. try to specify the versions of the thunder bird and lightning after knowing these i can try to implement on this problem. i think that you system is infected by a virus or a malicious program. try to scan your system.

    It appears as your system have an extension conflict so i think if you start the Thunderbird in the safe mode it will really help you. Disable all the themes and extensions with the help of the extension manager and then restart the thunderbird. After this has been done enable two extensions and then again restart it. repeat this step until all extensions are enabled.

    Firstly i would like to thank to all those who replied me for solving this problem. I tried to open the thunder bird in the safemode but the thunder bird won't start. Any other ideas For your information i am using the Thunderbird 2.0.0.23 and Lightning 0.9. please help me to get rid of this error as soon as possible.

    I think that your thunderbird file is corrupted and you need to reinstall the thunderbird or upgrade to its latest version . Because some times the extension gets conflicted with each other and hence these type of error occurs that's why the re-installation will repair the extension conflict and your problem will be solved.

    Sounds like your it is due to issue with your profile. It appears as your profile is corrupted and you need to create a new profile. Open the Profile Manager: Start -> Run ->thunderbird.exe -p and press the enter key the profile manager window wiill appear create a new profile and if it works then delete the older profile. This might be a profile conflict.
