Re: Playing CD and DVD in Windows

There are many software programs you can use to play a CD or DVD. Windows Media Player is one program that can get you started. Windows Media Player can play both audio CDs and video DVDs. To play a CD or DVD, you have to click to open Windows Media Player. Then you have to insert the CD or DVD you want to play into the drive. If the disc does not start playing, or if you want to select a disc that is already inserted, click the arrow below the Now Playing tab, and then click the drive that contains the disc.

The amount of video you can fit on a recordable DVD depends on several factors: The type of disc you are using the quality of video output you want The length of video to be written to disc generally, you can fit about two hours of normal, TV-quality video on a single-layer recordable DVD and four hours on a double-layer recordable DVD.
