This information is contained within the MP3 files in ID3 tags. If they have not been entered when creating the pieces, then you must update them yourself. To help you quickly and efficiently complete the ID3 tags of your MP3, you need a handy application called as MusicBrainz Tagger. You can use the MusicBrainz data either by browsing this web site, or you can access the data from a client program — for example, a CD player program can use MusicBrainz to identify CDs and provide information about the CD, about the artist or about related information. You can also use the MusicBrainz Tagger to automatically identify and clean up the metadata tags in your digital music collections.

MusicBrainz collects a vast amount of music metadata, far more than the traditional artist/album/track model. To install and configure this application just go through these steps:-

    • First of all install the program by double clicking the setup file as we do for all the programs on Windows.
    • The program will ask you to register MusicBrainz. You can skip this process and reduce the bottom of the window.
    • Once installed, click the File menu, click Open Folder.
    • Select the folder containing your MP3s, My Music for example and click OK.
    • If you want to add files scattered on your hard drive, click the File menu and then click Open to select Files.
    • The files are then added to the waiting list program (Pending tab). This can be quite long depending on the availability of servers MusicBrain.
    • Your files are then divided into two groups: those recognized (identified) and those who are not (Unidentified).

Once all your files are scanned by MusicBrainz , click the tab Identified. Check the list there is no error. For each piece, the line includes the ID3 information contained in the file. The line MB as it corresponds to the information found by MusicBrainz Tagger. Also note the percentage informing yourself about the relevance of the identification. If it is too low or if you feel a false identification, the selected song and click the button to switch misidentified the list Unidentified. You can also make a new recognition by clicking on the Identify button again.

To rename the files, go through these steps:-
    • Once your files recognized by the program, you must configure it to define how it will treat. Click on it to the View menu and then Options.
    • In the window that appears, open the tab Naming. Just to update the ID3 tags of MP3 files, MusicBrainz Tagger can benefit to rename files and folders directly classify and sub-folders.
    • Check this box to Rename files when writing metadata tags.
    • Then define how files will be renamed using the tags managed by the program. To see them, click the button naming help.
    • Thus, the formula default artist% \% album \% artist-album-%%% 0num-track indicates that the path and file name are defined as: Artist \ Album \ Artist-Album-No-Title de_piste . mp3. To you then call the names of your MP3 files.
    • To simply rename the files and does not move into a new folder, enter the formula-artist%% album-%% 0num-track into the field File format naming specification.
    • Then press OK

MusicBrainz Tagger allowed you to do the hard work by analyzing your MP3 and completing the missing ID3 tags. However, some files were certainly not accepted by the program that has been treated. AudioGrail/K-MP3 will allow you to easily perform this operation.

If the files you want to complete the ID3 tags are part of an album track or not, click the Load button. Select the folder containing your MP3s. Double click on the tool identification. FreeDB search window opens.Enter then the album name or the interpreter to easily find the corresponding album. Click the Search button. The result list shows you when the album that can match yours. Double click an album to view its contents in the right window. When you've found the right album, click the OK button and then click Next. All you then have to rename files of the album with the information retrieved by AudioGrail/K-MP3.
