Bring Back Deleted System Restore Point

    hi,
I have created a system restore point when I had installed Windows XP. But after some time I discovered that the point is deleted. What should I do here. This is definitely due to virus. I had found some trojan virus in my computer. I nees some steps to bring back my system restore points so that I can fix my computer. Is this possible to do that. What are the other preventive measure I can carry out.

Sometimes following the action of a virus or a bug that System Restore is missing. The tab System Restore has disappeared. Go to your desktop and then open My Computer. Then click the > Tools > Folder Options > and then View. Choose show hidden files and file systems. If you browse your hard drive where you installed your version of Windows you will see a new folder just appeared: System Volume Information. This is your system restores default folder. Once you create a similar folder your System Restore works again.

One you must take care. If you are going to create a new folder of System Volume Information then don't forget to delete the old one. Always restart your system so that all the changes can take effect properly. If you are facing the system restore error in your computer then start in Safe Mode. Now go to the folder C: \ Windows \ inf. Right click on the file sr.inf and select Install from the context menu. Reboot in normal mode

Rundll32.exe - entry point not found - The procedure entry RemoteAssistancePrepareSystemRestore is not found in the dynamic link library winsta.dll. This happens sometimes after a repair of Windows with a CD older than the installed system. Calendar absent, the System Restore opens with a blank page. In this case cilck on Run > type regsvr32 jscript and click OK.. Type regsvr32 vbscript and click OK . Type regsvr32 / i mshtml and press OK for the calendar.

I will first recommend you to run a registry repair tool. This tool will fix the issue. If not then you have to run a repair installation of Windows XP from the bootable disc. Boot your computer with windows disc and the follow the screen instruction. You will see a option press R to repair. Press that from your keyboard. The same is application in Windows Vista also. By this you can restore your computer back again.

Basically the virus corrupts Windows registry. Due to which the system restore is disabled. So one thing you can do here. First scan your computer properly under safe mode. Then boot from windows disc and choose the C drive for Windows installation. When you hit enter on it choose the last option Leave current changes something like that and give next. In this way you can save your applications.
