How to resize the image attachments in Outlook

I need some help regarding Outlook 2007 installed on my Windows XP computer. Actually , i have attached some images to one of my email messages that i am composing but they are in large sizes. I have seen some people resizing their images right from Outlook, but i am not getting that options. Do you guys know how to resize the image attachments in Outlook ? Also let me know inserting the image in the Outlook message body. Help appreciated.

With Outlook 2007, you can easily resize a case by case basis or automatically the images you attach to your messages. Here is how to do that:-

    • In Outlook, create a new message.
    • Click Attach File. Note that you can also drag photos directly from the browser on the message.
    • Select the photos to accompany your message and click Insert.
    • In the Include Office Ribbon, click the Options button small attachments.
    • A pane is displayed. Scroll Select image size and select the size in which you want your images to be resized, Large (1024 x 768 pixels) for example.
    • Check the Show when inserting attachments to view this component on the screen automatically when you insert images in a message. You can then quickly choose the image size. Select Do not resize and send to send the original non-resized images.
    • You can then finish your message and send.

When you insert a picture into a message, it is added as an attachment. To insert directly into the body of your message and it is immediately visible in your contacts, you must create an HTML message. To do that, In the compose window of your message, open the Options tab of the Office Ribbon.

In the Format box, click HTML. Open the Insert tab. Click Image. Select your hard disk image to be displayed in your message and click the Insert button. The image is inserted directly to the body of your message. If you click, you can resize, add a frame or various effects. You can send your message. The image will be displayed in the message from your correspondents.

    You are done !!

If you use Outlook 2007, you should be familiar with ribbon. The ribbon is a new feature in Office 2007 and has many features and many of the old features in Outlook 2003 are hidden or rearranged in the 2007 version. One such feature is resize image option for attachment. This option is available in the ribbon after the image is fixed. Click on the small icon in the attachment of the Insert option, this option will be available only after the image is attached. At the bottom you will find the option to resize the attached images.

Inserting the image in the Outlook message body is very simple. To do nothing simpler, you can directly paste the image from the clipboard. If it is saved on your disk, insert the following steps, Go to the "Insert" tab and in the group "Illustrator" click "Image". You can also insert your image from the library Clipart. Thats it
