Help and support does not work

I have Dell Inspiron laptop with windows XP. When I try open "Help and Support" I get an error message that says: "windows cannot open Help and Support because a system is not running" and that to fix the problem I should start the service named "Help and Support". How do I do that?

If Windows is installed in a different path, edit the REG file in Notepad and change the Application Paths value accordingly. Did you try to open the help file manually? For getting solve this problem you need to reinstall the Help and support feature. Before you need to follow the steps below:

• Start your computer as Administrator.
• Click on Start and then on Run.
• Type the command as %systemroot%\inf and click OK.
• Right click on the file PCHEALTH.inf and select Install.
• Now reinstall the Windows Help and Support Feature now.
