My pc does not recognize anti-virus

Hi,
I can not find a solution to my problem. I hope someone can help me. For several days, my pc does not recognize Avast. And yes! It's stupid but true. I have performed several manipulations, but nothing has changed. To avoid such an icon flag with a white cross, I checked the topic, I run my own antivirus, and it makes me antivirus unsupervised. I therefore humbly ask if there is a remedy for this problem.

What I am going to recommend is
- Uninstall using Add / Remove Programs. If the un-installation is difficult then you can visit the official site of avast for help.
- Now, you can download avast from their official web site, so that you get a good copy of the software.
- Finally, do a clean install.
Just try it and your computer will detect your anti virus program.

Ok, I'll try your tip. I hope it will solve my problem, otherwise I've let you know. before this once I had done a re installation process, but the problem still persist. May be at that time the configuration files where not removed my me. I will try that this time, hope this is going to help me and my computer will recognize the anti virus software. Is that there may be a problem in avast? Any advice on this, may be I am wrong. You can guide me with this.

I have uninstalled avast, avast reinstalled, but nothing works. By cons, with Avira, I have an installation problem. There is something with the firewall, I did not quite understand, I admit. Is it that you would help me a tip for the facility? I kept Avira cool in my docs. Meanwhile, I have still Avast running, but with the red shield with a white cross. I'm just waiting, if you can help me.

In this case, it sounds like the symptoms of an infection. I will suggest you to switch to a different anti virus software, may be avg or something like that. I think you should try install a different anti virus software and see if it runs on your computer, if it does then I think there would be a problem in the avast or the avast configuration files which are on your computer.

I do not know that I have some virus on my computer or not, but I do not have the problem any more and my computer now recognizes the anti virus program. I first repaired my operating system and then uninstalled the avast from the computer completely. Then downloaded a new copy of avast and installed it. The next time I booted my computer it had recognized the avast anti virus. By the way thanks for you help.

You are right . Its all have been done by the virus . It would have corrupted your operating system files due to which your system was not recognizing the Avast.

But please make sure that all you data are in their best form becase this sort of problem usually results in a data loss situation . Else you may use some windows data recovery programs to recover your data.
