How to install Jitter.

Hello, i am DJ by profession and i have been using many different softwares for djing on my notebook. Now i want to upgrade some features in order to improve my mixing capabilities. I have used Max many times. Actually i have heard about jitter, What is it exactly? Is it any software like max or something else ? How to get that on my notebook?

Before you start with installing the Jitter on your laptop, I would like to inform you some basic requirements that are needed from the windows to install this software. You machine should be having Windows XP operating system or it can be Vista also. Jitter needs 1 Gb of RAM to run smoothly on your computer. QuickTime 7.1 or later version is also required by the jitter. And the last one is OpenGL 1.4 or later version and compatible graphic card for it.

Though most of the people or a DJ uses windows operating system for their djing purpose. But if you are using Mac OS on your machine and you want to install jitter on your machine then your machine needs at least 1 GB of RAM, Mac PPC or Intel machine running OS X 10.4 or later. And this is the common for both the machine whether it is Mac machine or windows machine, Jitter needs QuickTime 7.1 and OpenGL 1.4 or later.

Jitter is a programming environment for music, audio, and media in an interactive graphical manner. Jitter is such a programming environment which provided with the user interface, timing, communications, and MIDI support. MSP adds on real-time audio synthesis and DSP and Jitter will be providing video and matrix data processing as it is an extension to the Max.

Here are the sequence of file to play a movie in quicktime using jitter.
1. Open a movie file.
2. Show it 30 times per second.
3. 33.33 millisecond per bang = 30 bangs per second.
4. Autostart will be at 1 by default which will play movie as soon as it is opened.

There are many jitter attributes. Jitter objects make much use of new Max capability which are known as attributes. Though jitter objects are more complex then those of Max. Each attributes of jitter has their own unique characteristics and behavior. You can easily get those values to know what they do or you may use them as a Max patch.
