    Procedure merge two rows in microsoft word

    Hello Friends,

    I have one question regarding the Microsoft word. I have one word file which contains one table. While doing operation over this table some times I need to merge the two rows into one row . I am doing this by copying the text of second row in to the first one. But it very frustrating task.
    Is anybody know easyprocedure to merge two rows in microsoft word? I would appreciate your help.

    Hello,

    If you want to merge two rows of table in Microsoft word then do the following procedure:
    • Open you Microsoft word file.
    • The select the rows that you want to merge. You need to use the "Ctrl" key to select the multiple rows.
    • Then select the "Table menu" and click on "merge cell" option

    I know the procedure for merging of the two rows. This procedure is quit easy to understand, see below:
    1. First open your Microsoft Word application and create a new word document.
    2. Then create table in your document using "Table" menu>>"Insert">>"Table"
    3. After this provide the values for table cells, create at least two rows.
    4. Then Select at two cells for merging.
    5. After this go to "Table" >>"Merge Cells."

    Hi,

    You can merge two rows or more than two rows in the Microsoft word. It is also possible to merge the two columns. You need the merging when one row incidentally gets spited into two rows. If you need to merge two cell , first select these rows then right click on the selection. Then find the "Merge cells" in these properties. When you get this property then click on it. You can also this rows merging from the main table menu. There is one option known as "Merge" is available in the table menu.

    Hello Friends,

    All your suggestion helped to understand the merging of two cells in the Microsoft word. And this procedure is saving lots of my time. I also tried the merging of the two columns of the table. I got some difficulties over this, but then I visited the above mentioned link and got the right procedure over this.
