    Backup eudora

    Hello,
I am on Apple Macintosh and I use Eudora as my email client. What files I need for backup power to re-install Eudora and check my mail. I wonder what files to save because I can not go through the import tools. Any advice how to back up the file? Thanks you in advance.

    Re: Backup eudora

    Hello,
In your Eudora folder, you take all the files . mbx and . toc. And also the files that end in .fol. Do not forget your address book:
    Code:
        * nndbase.txt
          nndbase.toc
Finally, you also take the file Eudora.ini which contains the settings in your account.
Tip: For the new installation, create a folder that contains ONLY your mail files (eg C: \ mes_mails) and when you want to migrate again, you can just copy the file. Then, for the shortcut, you put in the line "Target":
    Code:
    "C: \ Program Files \ Qualcomm \ Eudora \ Eudora.exe" "C: \ mes_mails"
The above is for Microsoft Windows operating system, apply the same process to the Macintosh.

I backed-up all the files that you mentioned and reinstalled it, but when I try to send an email, I get an error message which is out of my scope i.e I can not understand what the error is trying to say. Can you please help me with this? Thanks you.

    Hello
Actually, I forgot to tell you to retrieve the file attachments, you have to copy your new folder in Eudora and the Eudora options, it shows you the path of this file.
(Hoping that you had already specified a file for your attachments or they are in the folder where Eudora is installed. Eudora, unlike most email programs, stores email attachments apart. (attachments are directly accessible in a folder)
Its competitors incorporate attachments to the mail boxes of files. Hope this will help you and you can receive the mails now.

    Re: Backup eudora

    Hello,
Looking for ideas for coupling Eudora, which I use for fifteen years, with Access for sending emails. Eudora is a portable software in the sense that everything is in the Eudora directory. I have a USB stick that I use on multiple PCs and I can take with me and the mail does not stay on the PC, it prevents leaks. Of course we need the installation directory is the same on each PC, why I chose a letter that will not be used by either PC.
The PCs are in the dir Eudora / attach
If these considerations are useful to you, I will be very happy for that. Hopping that you receive that mails soon by configuring Eudora.

    Hi
For backing up file of you email client there are many back up tools, I use the Outlook Backup. It allows you to save the database of e-mail daily, weekly or period. You can save Outlook on one computer and restore one another, thus making the outlook does not save just a backup utility but also a synchronization tool. The program is easy to use and has a simplified user interface, very useful for novices. Unlike the other Outlook Express backup utility of e-mail Genie Backup works with the first 9 customers of E-mail, including MS Outlook, Eudora, IncrediMail, PocoMail, Outlook Express, Netscape Messenger,
