HP Photosmart C5550 Driver issue on Windows 7

I had been running Windows Vista on my machine. Recently i had a new HP Photosmart C5550 AIO printer which works great on my Windows Vista system. Just few days back i had upgraded my system from Windows Vista to windows 7. Now the problem when i try to install HP Photosmart C5550 AIO drivers, it doesn't get install on Windows 7. Any one knows how can i resolve HP Photosmart C5550 Driver issue on Windows 7? Any one knows about it? Kindly help me out to resolve the above issue. Thanks.

Have you tried to install with compatibility mode for Vista to see if that helps. Check the event viewer when she connects to the remote computer. You should see some sort of printer installation messages.

Recommended download for your device to provide basic functionality. I have tried installing the driver as described here, but I do not know how to associate my printer with the driver. If you would like to download the full feature functionality, which includes enhanced imaging features and product functionality for your device, go back and select "Full Feature Software and Drivers".

If you do not specify a certain IP-address, printer takes the first free address every time it boots, which can cause problems. It seems like an internal error with Windows Update. I am understanding you right I think, when you try to check for updates it says it can't obtain the driver list right?

The problem is that the installation utility for vista don't work in Windows 7 atleast not on my pc. But Free download provides you instructions along with installing the HP Photosmart C5550 All-in-One Printer Driver for Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows XP 64-bit, Windows Vista 64-bit. For those who have lost the installation CD.

In the list of printers there is my unspecified Photosmart C5550 and then under printers and faxes the "printer" that i just installed the driver for. To install the HP Photosmart C5550 All-in-One Printer driver, download the version of the driver that corresponds to your operating system from the official HP website. A window should then show up asking you where you would like to save the file. Save the driver file somewhere on your computer where you will be easily able to find it, such as your desktop.
