Does Messenger Plus work on Windows Vista

I'm running Windows Vista as my operating system. I'm using Internet Explorer 7 as well as Firefox in order to access internet. I'm planning to install Messenger Plus on my pc. But before installing it, i would like to know that does Messenger Plus work on Windows Vista? Any one knows about it? Kindly provide me the correct information on the above topic. Thanks.

The latest version works prefect on Windows Vista. Make sure you have both the current version of Messenger Plus! Live and Windows Messenger Live. You may need to also be in an admin user account when you install it as it might need administrator privileges. The only thing needed to use Messenger Plus! Live is Windows Live Messenger (the latest version of MSN Messenger) which requires Windows XP or above. Messenger Plus! Live is compatible with Windows Live Messenger 8.0 to 14.0 (2009) and can be installed on 32bit and 64bit versions of Windows XP to Windows 7.

Not exactly true, sometimes when you close a tab, a previous conversation quickly shows for about half a second. Based on information i've gathered from the internet, this issue appears to only affect Windows Vista. Make sure you download and install the correct version for your system (32-bit vs. 64-bit). The issue appears to be related with certain applications being compiled with Visual Studio 2008, however, that part isn't as certain.

Also make sure your any Firewall, Antivirus and Anti Spyware software are not blocking it. That's a glitch caused by current drivers of some graphic cards in Vista, this has to be corrected by NVidia. Because Messenger Plus! contains additional advertising, which the user does however have a choice to install or not, many security applications claim it is Spyware and may decide to block it.
