    Best Java IDE

    Hi
    I have recently started coding in java. The java seems to be very powerful and it has best features. Right now i use text editor to write a java program. I heard that there are many IDE's available to download which are best for java, I means that java program can be coded easily and efficiently in them. So guys, do you know the best IDE for java.If you suggest me a good IDE it would be great programming in that. Thanks in advance.

    Eclipse IDE is the industry wide standard for Java development.

    It ll help you in all respects.

    others like NetBeans is also available but Eclipse stands out.

    Currently there are many java IDE which are available in the marker or you can download them. But I will post the top IDE's which you can use to code in java. Starting with the first is
    1) Eclipse 3.0 : - It is a free IDE that has taken java industry by storm. It is extensible and customizable. Eclipse in built of its own SWT GUI library. It has the J2EE support and plugin support.
    2) Netbeans 3.x (Sun Microsystems): - It is a Sun Microsystems product, but it is an free IDE. Netbeans is built on a plugin architecture. Netbeans has an excellent GUI.
    3) JBuilder X (Borland) : - It is a Proprietary software. It was the top java IDE for many years. JBuilder is a complete Java IDE for EJB, Web and Web services, unit testing, struts designer.

    The above are the perfect for coding in java. Truly they are the best IDE's for java programming. Still I am post some other IDE's. Try and use which you like.
    1) IntelliJ IDEA :- It is a proprietory product. It is extensible via plugins. It has excellent J2EE and GUI support. It provides development tools such as J2EE support, ANT, CVS. It is packaged with an excellent java editor.
    2) JDeveloper (Oracle) : - It is an IDE with end to end support for modeling, debugging and deploying java applications and web services.
    3) SlickEdit - It is an old IDE. It is a commercial IDE. It is a full featured IDE in dozens of languages, including java, c++, html etc. It comes as an standalone plugin for Eclipse.
