Reinstall TCP / IP in Windows Vista

    Hi,
I need some details in tweaking Windows Vista. I had install the same on number of different systems. First a user want to to disable the speaker from beeping on every message. Second in a different computer I had removed Linux from one partition of of the drive. But after removing Vista is not booting up. And in one more system I need some suggestions in re-installation of TCP / IP. Also show the way of removing the delete confirmation.

To prevent the speaker from my box to beep every message you have two options here. The first one is to edit Windows Registry file. First open the registry by clicking on Start > Run > Type regedit, then expand the tree HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Control Panel \ Sound, and give the fields Beep and ExtendedSounds value and set it to No. Reboot your computer. Second thing if the bip sound is coming from the motherboard speaker then you can simply uplug the pin.

In case when you remove a operating system then it possible that your MBR is affected. This is the Master Boot Record (MBR) which is more correct. You will need to rebuild the same with one of the 2 following methods. First use the Recovery Console in Windows XP / Windows Vista and the command fixmbr. And the second option is use the command fdsik / mbr from a floppy boot Windows 95 / 98 or Me

Sometimes you want to reinstall TCP / IP by default. The delete button is not available. To re-install it open the Run window by clicking on Start > Run and type the following code: netsh interface ip reset. Logfile is an optional text file to trace the operations performed by the function (addition / deletion of keys in the registry, updated data, etc. ...). And when you want to delete a file, Windows displays a window asking if you really want to move this file to the trash. If this confirmation is bothering you, you can delete it by opening the properties of the trash and unchecking the Show confirmation of deletion.
