Microsoft Entourage cannot load the Microsoft Office shared libraries

    Hi,

I'm a Macintosh user and got this Microsoft program so I could take messages from my office. I get the error message "Microsoft Entourage cannot load the Microsoft Office shared libraries" when starting Entourage... Any Ideas?

A "shared library" error message usually indicates that several components of Microsoft Office is not properly updated during the last update. After Reapplying mac update 12.0.1, the error message will disappear.

Have you tried repairing/rebuilding the directory with Disk Utility or a third-party utility like Disk Warrior? These two problems can also cause this error message. I would say 2 things, RAM problem or Could be low disk space. To check the disk space, use of activity Monitor. Click Disk Usage in the bottom menu bar and select the volume of that has Office installed. You can also use Disk Utility to check detailed information on a disk or volume. For more information, open disk under Utility / Applications / Utilities and refer to the Disk Utility for Help.

Launch of the "Console" application (in / Applications / Utilities) and look for relevant error messages. Note that messages are marked with the date and time so you can use it to locate the part of the record in sight. Copy and paste the relevant messages (those that relate to the shared library problem) back here so we can see them. Probably the error message will give you the full path of the library that is trying to access. Look in that place to see if the file is in reality or not. Maybe we are the result of running the command ls -l (in a terminal window) in the path of the library file that is mentioned.
