System errors after upgrading to Windows 7

    Hi,
During installation of Windows 7 64 bits, my computer failed with blue screen. I have no idea what the reason is. The same never happened during the installation of Windows Vista 64 bit my older operating system. The crashes are irregular. All drivers are current and all 64-bit capable. The Upgrade Advisor shows similar system compatibility as per my pc. I need a answer for the question that is Windows 7 64 bit is slow or not mature. Help me here.

I guess the fault lies with the manufacturer of your PC - who provided you the hardware components which seems technically OK. The bios on the computer should in fact be already prepared for Windows 7. Page controlled is completely different for addressing the advance graphics memory (via your motherboard chipset) without problems. So here it can be figure out that the hardware or the video memory is not supporting the advance graphic in Windows 7 which is causing the error. Add up a graphic card and check.

The Upgrade Advisor only checks your hardware, but not the deeper Bios configuration of your motherboard. So the system which is running 32bit systems even go there already indicates a memory problem. If there is not enough onboard video memory then there can such fatal error. A foolproof way to test the components would be a stress test of hardware. Tests with the program the main memory (Mem-Test) and with a graphics benchmark, the onboard graphics which is responsible for any crashes.

Perhaps not all have understood! A black screen is somewhat of a "brother" of the Blue Screen. The computer IS OFF and restarts. So I boot from the DVD. The setup appears. ALL UNITS ARE NOT REQUIRED ARE NOT CONNECTED. I face the instructions (unless he is already out), and he copied and expanded it up yet. Then a black screen (crash!) And it will boot normally. This is what I faced in my Windows 7 64 bit installation and things work normal after that.

The problem is that your motherboard's ram is incorrectly addressed. It is a manufacturer's fault. You can do nothing in that. Your system will keep on crashing after a particular interval. Try to boot your system under safe mode. Disable all the graphical settings and start up service from mscofig. If possible add more sticks of RAM to make your system more stable.

Maybe this time trying to install vista, just uninstall and then install Windows7. It is a type of experiment for me which worked successfully here. I had upgraded from Windows Vista to Windows 7. The system problem faced by me is due to display resolution and drivers. So it is very necessary that you must have all 64 bit capable drivers and applications.
