Download Bluetooth For Laptop

I have a Compaq laptop on which i had installed Windows Xp. I have a bluetooth option on my laptop, but unfortunately i don't know how to use it. When i try to use it. I'm unable to see any symbol on my system. Can any one tell me that from where can i download bluetooth for my laptop? Does any body knows about it? Let me know your views on the above topic. Any kind of suggestion on the above topic would be appreciated.

If you have a modern laptop in may already be bluetooth capable, you just need to enable the setting. Bluetooth is a Hardware. If your laptop is a little older you will need to get a bluetooth adapter like you said. Bluetooth Dongule is available in market. Its a USB de vice and the software will be provided with it.

If you are sure that you have bluetooth on your laptop and the device that you are connecting to your laptop has bluetooth. If you have a spare usb port you might try a bluetooth dongle. Make sure the correct bluetooth drivers are installed on your laptop (go to the manufacture's website).If your computer/laptop don't have an onboard blue tooth you need a blue tooth adapter. Make sure that the device have been correctly "paired" with your laptop (if needed). Most of the time, there is something you must do to on the device to tell it that it is ok to connect to your laptop. Otherwise everyone would be able to connect to your device at any time.
