PFSTools is the good tool with a set of command line (and one GUI) programs for reading, writing, manipulating and viewing high-dynamic range (HDR) images and video frames. All programs in the package exchange data using a simple generic file format (pfs) for HDR data. The concept of the pfstools is similar to netpbm package for low-dynamic range images. pfstools are supplemented by pfscalibration and pfstmo for creating HDR images, and for tone-mapping operations, resp.
Well, I use Qtpfsgui, it has a great sound mapping and alignment of the facility, allows 8.16 and 32-bit dual channel means of manual manipulation of the image. Qtpfsgui creates a wonderful range of tones HDR image map. When loaded, the images can be aligned either automatically or manually. Click Next and a wizard guides you through recommended profiles or you can change this to get the best profile for your image. It gives you options for ghosting and the response curves, and if these are not to their liking can make a custom setting.
You can use CinePaint, it formerly known as Film Gimp is a fork of the GPL popular image editor The Gimp. The main target groups are the film industry and professional photographers who require a color depth greater than that available with standard image editors.
